This painting was one in a collection for my debut solo show  ‘To hold in bloom.’ The show brought together a collection of works painted through pregnancy, postpartum and into motherhood. The work is a celebration of transition and becoming, honouring the small moments in everyday rituals. The exhibition considered the things women hold; a baby in arms, friendships, a glass of wine, flowers, a meal, the home.
