Mia Cathcart (b. 1993) is a contemporary painter whose work explores intimacy, perception, and the quiet tension embedded in everyday gestures. Working primarily with figurative imagery and still life, she isolates fragments of the body; hands, faces, or a torso with ordinary subjects; food, flowers and tableware. By cropping figures and scenes, she invites viewers into moments that feel both personal and ambiguous.
